QUICK TIPS: RUG GUIDE
A rug can be a significant design element in a room, tying everything together and creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. But how do you know what size to choose? Today I'm going to guide you through the process of selecting the right size rug for your space.
Here are some quick tips to help you out:

MEASURE YOUR SPACE:
Before you start shopping for a rug, measure the space where you want to place it. This will give you an idea of the maximum size rug that will fit in the room.
LEAVE SOME SPACE:
When choosing a rug size, it's essential to leave some space between the rug and the walls. A good rule of thumb is to leave at least 8-12 inches of floor space between the rug and the walls, for larger areas or bigger rooms, we like to leave at least 12-18 inches of space between the rug and the walls.

THINK ABOUT FURNITURE PLACEMENT:
If you're placing a rug under a seating area, make sure that at least the front two furniture legs of all the seating furniture can fit comfortably on the rug. This will help create a cohesive look and
CONSIDER THE ROOM SHAPE + LAYOUT:
If you have a square room, a square or round rug may work well. For a rectangular room, a rectangular or oval rug may be more appropriate. If you have a certain area of a larger room you want to feel more planted and not just look like “floating” furniture, make that section its own moment by placing a rug underneath the furniture to solidify it’s own unique use of the room.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO GO BIG!:
A common mistake people make when choosing a rug is selecting one that is too small. Don't be afraid to go bigger than you think you need. A large rug can help make a room feel more spacious and luxurious.
